What were vehicles like the insured's listed at when they sold in this state, and what if the state has too few?
Pool the neighboring states. In Aug 2026, New Mexico had 4 priced 2021 Toyota Camry SE sales, too few to quote; pooled with Arizona, Colorado and Utah, 42 priced sales gave a $21,018 median. Ask for the loss state first, then pool its neighbors into one row and show three months.

Is the insured's hybrid being valued against gas comparables?
If it is, the value comes out low. In Aug 2026, 2022 Toyota RAV4 hybrids in California listed at a $32,182 median against $27,994 for gas versions, $4,188 higher; nationally the gap was $3,800. More questions
Are these the prices buyers paid?
No. Every price is the advertised asking price when the car left the dealer website; the negotiated price is private and is not in the data. Treat the figures as listing evidence for actual cash value, and say they are asking prices when you cite them.
How many sales back each figure?
Every row states its units sold and its priced sample, the sales with an asking price behind every price figure. A row on fewer than 30 priced sales is marked as a thin sample: read it as a direction only. Pool neighboring states into one row, as the first question shows, or widen to a model-year range.
Does it show individual cars or VINs?
No. It returns statistics (units, median and mean asking price, odometer, days on market) grouped by model, year, trim, seller or group, never a VIN. For named comparable vehicles, use the recently sold search or a Total Loss Report.
How current is the data?
It is monthly, and each month lands one to two months after it ends, so date every figure in the file to its data month. The examples on this page are from Aug 2026. It covers US dealers only, back to January 2021, at most 12 months per call.
What does a call cost?
$3.00 per call unit, paid from your prepaid balance and only after a successful call; a refused or failed call costs nothing. On this page the June 2022 band is 2 units ($6.00); every other prompt is 1 unit ($3.00), so all 13 prompts come to 14 units ($42.00).
