Market Data Tools

Market Data Tools for your assistant. The raw data under every report.

Reports give you the synthesized read. These six tools give Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP agent the data underneath: live listings, the cars that just cleared, a VIN's history and factory build, a predicted price with its comparables, and monthly sold-market statistics. Five are priced per call; the sixth is priced by the shape of the question.

The tools

Six tools, one connector, JSON back.

Each page shows what the tool returns, what it costs, real results by desk with prompts you can copy, and the traps.

How they connect

Same connector, same balance as the reports.

One connector

The tools ride on the same connector as the reports: Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client such as Cursor, VS Code or Gemini. They are selected by default when you approve access.

One balance

Every call is charged to the same prepaid balance the reports use, only when the tool is called. A failed call is never charged.

Ask, or follow up

Ask directly ("show me Rogue listings under $20k near 84070") or after a report: when a Stocking Guide names a nameplate, the assistant can pull the actual listings without re-running the report.

Each tool carries its price in its description, so your assistant can tell you the cost before it calls. Connect your assistant in one click for Claude, or with the connector URL anywhere else.

Pay per call

Charged to your prepaid balance, only when a call succeeds.

Five tools debit the balance at the Starter rate from the MarketCheck API rate card. Sold Market Data (Beta) is priced by the shape of the question at $3.00 per call unit, one unit for a standard question. No subscription, and each answer states what it cost.

What raw means

JSON back, no hosted page, every price an asking price.

No report chrome. A tool returns JSON to your assistant, which reads it to you. There is no hosted page to share and no narration; the reports do that.

Advertised asking prices. MarketCheck observes listings, not settlements. A "sold" figure is the last advertised price before a car left the market, never the money that changed hands.

Charged only on success. A failed or refused call is never billed, and each answer states what it cost.
