Example query

Ask Claude or ChatGPT in plain English:

What is the lowest price VIN 4T3R6RFV7MU015349 was ever advertised at?

Price check these 8 VINs and tell me the cost first: <paste VIN list>.

Your assistant picks up the report, runs it against live MarketCheck data, and narrates the result back to you. Same credit balance, either assistant.

05Questions

Before you run it

What does it return?
The lowest advertised price of record for the VIN across the dealer websites MarketCheck crawls, with the source dealer, date and listing URL, the full advertised price timeline, every distinct seller that advertised it, current listings with freshness, and the all-time advertised spread for context.
How long has this car been on the lot?
For a single VIN, the report shows days on site for each current listing, flagged as stale at 90 days or more, next to the advertised price history on record: a chart of the three busiest dealer-site channels and a table of up to 12 dated observations. Days on site is shelf time, how long the car has sat on that dealer's website. It does not measure how fast cars like it sell.
Is this used car overpriced?
To judge that, compare the asking price with market value: the Used Car Health Check does it for one VIN, and the Pre-Purchase Negotiation Brief adds a target offer and a walk-away price. This report adds the pricing history behind the ask: the lowest advertised price on record, the advertised price history and each seller's current price.
Is this the market value?
No. It is the advertised price, never a sale price and not a valuation. For market value run the Vehicle Valuation Report; for a lot-wide compliance audit run the Pricing Compliance Report.
What is the coverage?
Dealer websites, built over years and near complete, not third-party aggregator marketplaces.
Can I check many VINs at once?
Yes. Paste up to 500 VINs for a batch summary table. A batch is quoted first, charging nothing, and runs only after you confirm the total.
What does it cost?
$0.50 per VIN with a $0.50 minimum. Connect the MarketCheck AI Desk to Claude or ChatGPT once and ask in plain English, or run it from this website. You pay per report from a credit balance, with no subscription. A single check can also be bought as a guest.
