## Inputs

### Required
- **vin** (e.g. `19XFC2F70JE100000`): 17-character vehicle identification number.
- **mileage** (e.g. `64000`): Current vehicle mileage.
- **zip** (e.g. `60601`): Owner's ZIP code (anchors the local market).

### Recommended
- **condition** (e.g. `Clean`): Vehicle condition: Clean, Average, or Rough. Biases the trade-in range.

### Optional
- **purpose** (e.g. `both`): "trade-in", "sell-private", or "both". Defaults to "both" which gives the side-by-side comparison.
- **is_certified** (e.g. `false`): Tick this if the vehicle is currently CPO (certified pre-owned). Affects the retail-value comparison.

## Data semantics

Every price is a **listed (asking) price**, not a transacted sale price. "Recently off-market" comps show a vehicle's last list price (a sold proxy). The ML "MarketCheck Price" predicts an optimal listing price, not a sale price.
